The Munich Handballcampus offers children and young people a sports program to get them more excited about exercise and sport. The main aim of the Handballcampus is to light up the children's eyes and give children in difficult life situations in particular more zest for life and strength.
Children with a lower socio-economic status are demonstrably less active, as shown by the KiGGS study 2018 (wave 2). This is partly due to access to organized sport and consequently leads to increased risks for children's health. The Handballcampus wants to reach ALL children and get them excited about exercise.
Your donations can be used to fund the “Promoting physical activity in daycare centers and schools” project, which aims to get children between the ages of 3 and 12 in daycare centers and schools interested in physical activity and improve their motor skills. The aim is to provide long-term funding for sports consoles in disadvantaged facilities in order to give children who are exposed to difficult life situations through no fault of their own more enjoyment.
The sports consoles used offer a variety of sports games in which stars can be collected for particularly good performances. Not only speed is required, but also accuracy, for example. A special wristband records progress and adjusts the level according to the child's age and gender.
The project offers children a local sports program in which they can develop team spirit and gain a sense of achievement. This boosts their self-confidence enormously and helps them to cope better with everyday challenges.

The collected donations help us a lot to put a smile on the children's faces and distract them from their everyday worries.
